April 28, 2020: Blue Angels and Thunderbirds Fly Over New York City

An Academy of Aviation representative shares today's spectacular experience.

"The sunshine and warm weather was perfect for us to look up to the sky when the Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds flew over our NYC home to pay tribute to First Responders, some of whom are friends and family to many of us. We had a brief sense of freedom and a newly revitalized longing for the sky as we saw and felt the dramatic awe of these jets flying by in formation. It was awesome in the real sense of the word awesome, because it emphasized this surreal but all-too-real experience of witnessing this from our social-distanced rooftop quarantine."
